Self Assessment Process

How well a school or setting satisfies each of the aspects in the study support quality standard will determine how it positions itself against the standards for bronze, silver and gold. The study support provision of any particular school or setting may well cross two or even three of the aspect levels.

The extent to which a school or setting is able to provide evidence to support its judgements will create a more accurate reflection of the study support provision on offer. A formal and structured body of evidence that supports the self-evaluation process will enable deliverers to seek further quality recognition externally and nationally.

It is therefore important that schools and settings should retain as much evidence of their study support activities as possible and progressively build up a portfolio to aid discussion and recognition with their school link advisers.
