KS4 Engagement Guidance
QCA have produced guidance for partnerships running local Key Stage 4 engagement programme. The programme is a personalised programme for those KS4 leavers most at risk of disengagement, who are not motivated by the mainstream curriculum and classroom based learning styles.
At the heart is learning with a work focus and underpinned by high quality support, advice and guidance.
Learners’ personalised programmes comprise of the whole KS4 programme, placing emphasis on the development of personal, social and functional skills.
The Guidance document explains how local programmes can be developed, managed and delivered and provide a framework to consider.
Our GM programme was one of the national pilots for the KS4 Engagement Programme. This is co-ordinated by Manchester Solutions and places are for Trafford annually.
